NETWALKING 4 BUSINESS

What is Netwalking?

Quite simply it’s an alternative way of business networking – moving conversations outdoors instead of sitting around a table.

There’s no pressurised one minute introduction, instead it’s an informal, relaxing way to meet people, build new business connections and get some exercise.

It was been documented in many studies that walking while talking has many benefits with regards to mental wellbeing, focus and ideas generation.

I’ve never had anyone on my netwalks that wishes they’d never joined it.

This year I’ve partnered with Network She to expand their Womens Business Netwalks in to Wirral.

Our Netwalks are FREE to attend but we do ask you to register so I know who to expect

Here’s some hints and tips on how to get the best out of your netwalking experience

Although Netwalking is probably more relaxed than formal networking the purpose, principles and opportunities remain the same.

  • Make sure you have suitable footwear and clothing!
  • Bring a drink with you
  • Be comfortable with how you want to introduce yourself – you will get more time to expand on this throughout the walk
  • Describe yourself and your ‘why’ – why you do what you do and how you do it.
  • Plan your networking – know what you want and manage it, be clear about your aims
  • Be open and honest – personal integrity is crucial for your ongoing reputation
  • Be supportive and positive – listen with empathy and not judgement. Share useful hints and tips
  • Follow up connections – Netwalking like any other form of networking only produces results when it’s followed up and this will build trust
  • But most of all relax and enjoy it!

Here’s some suggested questions you may want to consider asking your fellow Netwalkers:

  • What would help your business right now?
  • How can I help you/what can I do for you?
  • What do you want to get out of netwalking?
  • What are your pains/gains?
